Our mission at Revive Spinal Care is to help you achieve optimal health through correction, stabilization, and optimization of the nervous system.

We use a state-of-the-art Atlas Orthogonal percussion impulse instrument to gently realign the first bone of the neck. The bones of the upper neck are intimately related to the brainstem (lowest portion of the brain), and alignment in this area of the spine restores the transmission of nerve impulses from the brain to the rest of the body. This is paramount for optimal brain-body communication, and is all achieved with no twisting, cracking, popping of the neck.

The remainder of the spine is adjusted as well to expedite the healing process. Manual muscle activation techniques are used to help the adjustments stay in place for longer periods of time, requiring less and less visits after the initial period of care.

Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology is a robust approach to addressing health challenges that includes balancing the musculoskeletal system, nutritional supplementation, and muscle testing. This is a 30-minute visit designed to delve deeper into addressing the body's needs.

Functional diagnostic medicine gets down to the root of health challenges. If you have been searching for answers and have seen a dozen specialists, all to tell you that your labs look normal, but you know deep down that something is off, then functional diagnostic medicine is the answer you have been searching for. Many times, traditional medicine will show that all things are normal and that nothing is wrong. The difference is that traditional medicine is looking to see if you're SICK; functional medicine looks to see if you're HEALTHY and FUNCTIONING the way it should. Our body requires the PRESENCE of certain minerals and supplements to function properly. It also must be ABSENT of toxins such as mold, heavy metals, or a bioaccumulation of chemical substances in order to function properly as well. Functional medicine simply looks to see if you have too little of the important things your body needs, or too much of the harmful things that your body doesn't. This ultimately restores the FUNCTION of your body, getting you back to a healthier state. Functional diagnostic medicine does not treat any disease or condition but rather supports the body's natural systems so that it can heal itself the way it was designed to.

Dr. Tony Choi is a South Carolina native that graduated cum laude with a BS in Chemistry from Clemson University and summa cum laude from Sherman College of Chiropractic in March of 2020. Dr. Choi was awarded the highest honor denoted by receiving the Milton Garfunkel Award, in addition to the Clinic Excellence Award, and the BJ Palmer Philosophy Award.

While attending chiropractic school, Dr. Choi expanded his clinical skills by attending an extensive number of seminars in specific upper cervical chiropractic techniques, Activator Methods, and Applied Kinesiology.

Dr. Choi’s passion for chiropractic developed when he experienced health issues during his undergraduate years. Test after test revealed no real diagnosis in spite of persistent pain. Thousands of dollars spent on medical diagnoses revealed no answers. It wasn’t until he received his first upper cervical chiropractic correction that his health issues began to resolve. It was then that Dr. Choi realized the potential for health through upper cervical chiropractic, and he determined to help others overcome their health challenges as well.

However, the story does not end with upper cervical chiropractic care. While in graduate school, Dr. Choi began to experience a “burn-out” phenomenon that many people experience. He was unable to keep driving forward and was falling behind in his studies, despite staying in chiropractic alignment. He knew that there was something deeper and stumbled upon functional medicine. A functional medicine doctor explained that Dr. Choi’s biochemical systems were imbalanced, and supplementation to support the “fatigued” biochemical system was warranted. Dr. Choi immediately saw results from this treatment and began to delve deeper into the potential of functional diagnostic medicine.

Dr. Choi is currently enrolled in the certification program from Functional Medicine University to provide healing in addition to upper cervical chiropractic care.
